Over the next 10 days, we could see two or three of the biggest coaching moves that could shake up the college landscape.
I guess I have to say it, Nick Saban will not be the head coach at Alabama.
At Alabama, he has won 62 games and two national championships. A third one could be waiting for him on Jan. 7. With four college football national titles on his résumé, Saban would join a short list of coaches, including Bear Bryant and Frank Leahy, with four or more national titles.
What's left for him to do?
Saban has said all the right things and has chosen his words carefully when asked about his future. Words have a way of haunting you. Besides, raise your hand if you believe every word he says?
There are bigger and better challengers awaiting him in the NFL, where he can join the likes of Jimmy Johnson and Barry Switzer as the only coaches to win a national title and a Super Bowl during their careers.
I post it just because it's fun to see Alabama fans sweat and play the denial game like we all did when he scorned us.
