Worth the time and investment? Are they more trouble than they are worth? Brand recommendations?

OK, how about for a system that has to be indoors for 5 bathrooms? Gas, not propane.

You generally need more than one for a house that large. I'm looking into putting them in my new house as well.

I have 4 full bathrooms and our tankless works very well. Would definitely recommend a tankless.

had one in a place i rented that went out all the fricking time. needs alot of space if being installed in the attic and needs a hell of a ventilation system to prevent it from shorting. had alot of naked arse climbs into the attic to restart the hot water

We have an indoor Noritz which requires a special venting system.

Any model has an equivalent for Natural Gas.Looks like the price goes up a little for more hot water output.

Over the holidays, we had all bathrooms running at the same time along with very frequent dish washer & washing machine loads. Don't know what unit we have - its raining so can't check. New house & new unit though. Upgraded the unit during build.

I have two Takagi tankless heaters (outside). Have been in the house 4 1/2 years, never any problems and no complaints.

Sure. I do have a question, though. Our water pressure is good but not what I'd like it to be. I replaced the rain shower head in the master bath to help but wondered if the water pressure was due to the 1 tankless heater or just Frisco's water conservation rules.

Had problems with my Rheem. Came to find out that the plumber installed it incorrectly. They need a drain line installed as part of the vent. Since the fix, no problems and liking it.
