Payton will being consistency back to the offense and hold the defense accountable. Playing with a lead, knowing the O will score, being able to count on them to get you out of a jam will automatically help the D.
The offense didn't sustain drives, constant 3 and outs, and Drew throwing picks by pressing too hard put the D in many tough spots.

I think initially that the media will treat CSPs return like a paparazzi frenzy but will eventually slow down. The players on the other hand will be the most exited to get to work under CSP but will also fear for their job considering how well the Saints played this year. Just my 2 cents.

I wonder if an NFL team has ever used every single one of its draft picks on defensive players? If not, the Saints should be the first team to do so. Their offense would still be good, but they have to get some studs on defense.
