Has Football become the new Religion?

It's mainly played on Saturdays and Sundays. High school football is played on Thursdays and Fridays. It goes on for only about 6 months of the year is the only reason it's not completely obvious to people that it has become more important than attending any religious service. I'm
Not saying that you can't be religious and be a football fan.

Millions of people plan their life on the weekends around college or pro football. It almost seems as though people who do not follow football at some level are weird. It almost seems as though football is more important thing to participate in than religion. So is football the new religion of devout followers/fans that controls the masses?

There are extremes in every religion. I just wonder if the Catholics from up North are going to be able to handle the Alabama fans in Miami.

Football is played in a stadium

Baseball is played in a park

In football you throw bombs against blitzes

In baseball you GO HOME

well... I don't have to listen to a crazy man talk for two hours before eating some BBQ on a Alabama Saturday. I just put Corso on mute and watch the crazy signs depicting the cumming of McCarron's mom.

Are you kidding me? Us Catholics drink wine at mass and we are the religion of choice for some of the mafias. I have never heard of as many Catholics abstaining from alcohol as I do the Protestants like Baptists and Methodists. I think I would be worried about the Catholics being in different states of drunkedness.

1) You never paid attention when learning catechism.

2) People always say this as if every one gets more than a taste. They aren't exactly handing out glasses at the door.
