Christie will never get the republican nom. Rubio is the only shot we have in 2016

No, but two have been VP nominees (William Miller in '64 and Ryan this year).

I have a great idea: how about we NOT vote for a republican or democrat?? Wow, what a great concept. Or, continue to put the same a-holes in office expecting change. Its working out really well.

Never. And until the mid 60s, Catholics voted Democratic by same margins Blacks do today.
JFK and Biden are the only two ever elected POTUS or VP. I believe Al Smith John Kerry and Geraldene Ferraro were the only other nominees.
ETA saw TB's post. Forgot about the GOP Veep noms.
