Yea, if I go it's probably a movie I just really want to see because it's going to cost me 20 bucks if I'm taking someone. Otherwise I'll just torrent a movie I kind of want to see and watch on my computer.

I don't get restless. But I get annoyed with the bull shite at the theater these days. My biggest movie theater peeves these days:

- People who bring toddlers/babies to R rated movies. And then get all indignant when asked to take their crying baby outside of the theater. And before I get some shite over this one, my own parents either got a babysitter or made the sacrifice or not going if it came to that. Or they went to a kid friendly movie.

- People who want to get on their bright arse phones mid-movie.

- People who talk through the whole movie, holler comments at the movie, etc. Midnight showings of Rocky Horror being the exception.

- Opening weekend crowds.

- Concession prices.

Ticket prices don't bother me too much. I'll gladly pay $10-$15 for a movie that I really want to see. But if I'm paying that I don't want to have to put up with all the other bull shite.

pretty much this

I don't mind opening night crowds too much though. The event movies where people get dressed up are kind of fun.

Its really the a-holes who talk and text on their phones all throughout the movie that piss me the hell off.

That and the dumb bastards that bring little kids to R movies. I mean WTF are they thinking? Why in the hell do they think its fine to bring a f-ing 8 year old to a movie like The Departed?

It's the crowds that put me off nowadays. People in general are just a-holes now. No manners, courtesy etc.

Isn't it strange that despite our society being "more progressive," people's lack of courtesy for others makes it unbearable to enjoy a movie in public anymore?

Y'all are weird. I'm in my 40's and still love going to the theater. I would see a movie in the theater every day if time allowed.

I do agree about the crowds which is why I usually see matinees.

I think what ruined it for me was seeing some horror movies a few years back, retard parents bring small children who just sit there and scream like they're on a rollercoaster. Now I wait for a movie to be out 2-3 weeks before going, won't get more than a few people at a showing then.

My wife and I go almost every Saturday. I love going. The older I get the more I look forward to it. I do wish theaters had blu ray quality picture.

Malco in Madison does real well. Reason why is when the Malco opened in Madison, written rules were publicized regarding appropriate dress and outlandish behavior. There are at least two cop cars in the parking lot every night, loitering and cruisers are not allowed, nobody hitchhikes in Madison, bums are not allowed to lay around in restaurant booths, panhandling is illegal and drinking from a brown paper sack will get your arse a free trip to the Madison County lockup."

and everyone knows in Madison, they don't play.
