This piece aired on December 15th, the day after the attacks.

Lemme find the link I have that shows when it was posted and also has more video of officers removing a gun from the trunk. The gun in the trunk was a shotgun and not an AR.

as much as I hate to say it, I think this news was too fresh and mistaken at the point of broadcast on the day of.
If this was later and or with some video of an AR in the car then it would be something to look at.

That report likely aired in the 24 hours following the incident. hard data was scarce and reports of a second shooter found in the woods near the school were still circulating.

I'll rehash another post...

Let's assume for a second that the shooter used a shotgun or handgun instead of an AR.

Lets think about the number of people involved in the conspiracy. First are all the LEO's and first responders such as EMT's and Paramedics. I'd imagine most of them are capable of identifying handgun casings and shotgun shells. Yet none mentions them, why?

Next we'll add in State Law Enforcement officials and Federal officials as well. I'd imagine most of them are capable of identifying handgun casings and shotgun shells as well. Let's not forget the numerous surviving witnesses at the scene.

Let's follow the bodies and add in medical examiners, coroners plus the numerous Physician's plus Nurses and other medical personnel that assisted the few that made it to the hospital. I'm pretty sure they could identify shotgun/handgun wounds as opposed to rifles. After all, it's their job!

Let's not forget that the parents had to ID the bodies. Certainly one of them could identify the distinctive pattern of shotgun impacts. Nobody among the hundreds of people who've witnessed the carnage firsthand is willing to blow the whistle about a fictitious AR? In fact, the parents of the deceased are part of the conspiracy?

As it relates to the gun in the trunk conspiracy.. What does it have to do with anything? The shooter was found dead inside the school. If you believe the shooter used the gun in the trunk you either believe that he left the school and returned the gun to the trunk(minus the other guns) and ignored an obvious opportunity to flee the scene or perhaps his deceased corpse dragged the gun to the trunk and then returned to the school and the other guns to be found by first responders...

Agreed. Here's the video I mentioned above, posted on Dec 15th, It also shows footage of officers removing the gun from the car and it's clearly NOT an AR-style rifle. Looks to be some sort of semi-auto shotgun. LINK

looks like a saiga 12 maybe. Something with a long slide

.223? could be a Ruger mini 14 or maybe a AK-74
based on the slide action??

re: Apparently the AR-15 was NOT used in the School Shooting (disproved ((maybe)))

Not saying it wasnt an AR, but no way a parent looking at their dead 6 yr old would know the difference in a 223 and a 40 at point blank range so that makes no sense.
Has anyone heard LEO's say what it was. All Ive heard is the media and ME.
The ME said it was 223 though and I believe them. I think the conspiracy you speak of though could only involve the ME and the media, unless you have anyone else on record saying what it actually was. You very well may, I have no clue. I couldnt watch much of it in the first few days having 3 small kids, just too hard to think about it.

The parents had to ID the kids with photographs IIRC. I don't think they were allowed to see them, which I understand. Seems like a better idea than leading them into a room full of bodies and asking them to find their kids.

The local Chief of Police, Federal Officials and the County Medical Examiners are all on record that an AR was found at the scene and that the wounds on the deceased are consistent with the AR. So too are hundreds of corroborating witnesses that I described above.

I believe wholeheartedly that anyone with a rudimentary knowledge of firearms could readily distinguish a 223 rifle wound from a 9mm/40 caliber handgun wound. Certainly the EMT's, Paramedics, Physicians and LEO's would pick them out in a heartbeat.

Again, the fictitiuous AR story and the gun in the trunk conspiracy have no legs. I honestly cant understand why anyone would keep it going.

'hat isn't trying to keep it going. He just heard about this and even he wasn't sure when the actual footage originally aired.

It's been established that this aired VERY shortly after news first broke and at that time, even the major news outlets (This was NBC) didn't have the correct information.

I don't think anyone, at least not in this forum, is trying to perpetuate that there is some sort of conspiracy with this tragic event.

No your absolutely right, and to be clear I'm not indicting anyone on this forum. But there are other websites and emails circulating that are convinced this is a government conspiracy on the highest order and I just view that as pissing on the graves of a bunch of children. I'm sorry if any of you feel like I was berating you...

Thats what i wasnt sure of. Like I said, I quit watching the coverage. Not sure who the hundreds of witnesses are but yea, LEO officers had to see it. Dont think others around would have.

I think so too, just not a parent IDing their kids body at such a traumatic time. Either way, its a matter of opinion and there seems to be no doubt here. Either way, a shooting shouldnt bring on a ban no matter what weapon was used. If thats the case way more people have been killed with handguns and regular hunting style shotguns and they should be at the top of the list but they arent as "scary".
