See below your post. Title 18 s 92.2 of the nfa act of 68. Educate yourself and you won't look stupid trying to call me out.

Not true.

They can make guns as long as they have some sort of metal on them and don't sell or transfer them.

Since they are transferring only a .cad file for free, it's completely legal.

Yeah sorry, I added that part later.

Not the metal part though, what's that about?

Yes, the ATF, who has communicated with Cody Wilson consistently since August, is simply not enforcing the laws on their books even though Cody Wilson is popularly manufacturing illegal guns.

Oh so it has to have a fleck of metal in it to tip off metal detectors and the like, got it.

Anyways, Wilson is getting an FFL so it's kind of pointless. I think he might already have one, not sure.

So the end goal would be printing a fully printable functional gun? Or are they just hoping for a lower receiver that can be used indefinitely(100,000s of rounds)?

I don't know what this particular person's end goal is, but I would imagine after the lower receiver is perfected, people will move on to other parts.

Wiki, you should really listen to Cody Wilson speak. The guy is quite well-read and intelligent for a 24 year old law student.

He had a speech at London's bitcoin conference too.
