Rank in 2010–11 Club Revenue (€ million) Country Rank in 2009–10 Mvmt 1 Real Madrid 479.5 Spain 1 — 2 Barcelona 450.7 Spain 2 — 3 Manchester United 367.0 England 3 — 4 Bayern Munich 321.4 Germany 4 — 5 Arsenal 251.1 England 5 — 6 Chelsea 249.8 England 6 — 7 Milan 235.1 Italy 7 — 8 Internazionale 211.4 Italy 9 +1 9 Liverpool 203.3 England 8 -1 10 Schalke 04 202.4 Germany 16 +6 This is 2010-2011 revenue numbers from Deloitte. Granted this is total revenue and takes into account shirt sales, sponsorships, etc.. But as I said the spanish super clubs have a pretty serious financial advantage. Maybe it's not primarily down to tv revenue, as I can't seem to find those numbers, but that's a pretty clear gap.

Yeah he was being asked about Hodgson and his time at LFC I believe during one of his Inter UCL presses. I actually read several of his website blogs, he's a very interesting guy with a great perspective of the game.

From Canal Plus? Yeah. He´s going down in a boat with a lunatic, and can´t believe it. Like I said yesterday, I thought this was the long forgotten (in Iker´s case), but typìcally esposed, Christmas rest (unless it´s an important match, but it seems Casillas would play no matter how shitty the opponent). Mourinho is in a tug of war with management, and is looking to get fired (so as to be indemnified). fricking POS has wasted so much of the club´s time it´s unreal. Flo, too. He railroaded the translator in. Shit´s going down on Concha Espina, fo´sho´. I just hope RM doesn´t win the CL this year (quite likely, with the perfect ´us against the world ´storm a brewin´, ala Mou´s Inter di Milano luckfest). Not that I wouldn´t like to see Madrid win it all, but I can´t stomach the translator now, imagine then. He´d be absolutely, positively THE most unbearable thing on this planet. Then again, he´d probably leave, as I know he can´t handle the pressure at RM. Not many can.

As I said, it´s 11M, and I doubt the gap is that wide, to be honest.

Who would be the favorite for the job? Klopp? Löw? Wenger? Rafa? Gotta imagine that is Rafa's dream job. Wasn't he a youth at Madrid?

The gap is €112 million. Or atleast it was a year ago. That gap represents 31% of ManU's total revenue. No esta un poco, comprende?

fricking speed and bacon, again. You were talking about television revenue, now you´re referring to total revenue. I´ll find the page I´m referring to. I believe it´s called The Swiss something or other.

There's also Hiddink and Ancoletti, maybe Mancini if he leaves City.

Yes, but total revenue is a better measure of a teams ability to spend and therefore a better indicator of that teams expectations. After all, spending and success are more highly correlated in soccer than any other professional sport. RM and Barca have a major advantage when it comes to money in relation to any club in Europe. They should be challenging for Europe every year. Eta: only mentioned tv money because I thought that was the source of the disparity of total revenue between English and Spanish clubs.

I´d saw Löw is the only one who would be welcome of all that are being mentioned. Well, Wenger would as well, but I seriously doubt he´d entertain the thought. Del Bosque would be the obvious target, and they´d (all aspiring presidents of the new project) would appeal to his Madridness and sense of duty and honor. Rafa? I think he may have burned his bridges. Now, if he kicks butt at Chelsea, yeah, I could see him being accepted at Madrid.

This all began based upon your TV revenue superiority assertion. Again, when I was discussing this before you chimed in, I mentioned that this ´Spanish Giants´thing from a revenue generating standpoint, is the result of recent years, maybe 20% of the time he of the red face and purple nose has been at Manu.

Doubt Wenger would leave as well. Will VdB retire after he is done with Spain? Rafa has won 2 La Ligas and a CL. Wasn't he the last to win the league with a team other than Barca or Madrid?

Wenger would turn them down IMO. I thought about Del Bosque but you really think he'd return to club management? I think Low would be a very interesting choice, would love to see him make the switch to club football.

Yes, Rafa won two with Valencia. Also, Ancelotti could be a possibility (good comment by someone earlier).

No doubt, should have saved some for the future. Unless of course by some miracle we get back in the title race, +8 will help out the GD. Serious question for anyone who watched that game. Have you ever seen such an arse kicking in a game? I honestly don't think I have. Wth was Villa doing? We scored 8 goals and really could have very very easily been 11 or 12. How bad do you have to feel as a ref to call 2 pens when the other team is up 5-0 and 7-0?

I thought they were both soft, especially with the score what it was.

The first one reminded me of Drogba on Ribery in the CL final. I only saw a brief replay of the 2nd but at 7-0 unless he wrapped his arms around him and tackled him just let it go.
