I'm sorry but I really have to question the coaching staff on their decision making with him. Here at JerryWorld and this kid deserves an offer badly. Reminds me a lot of the Wisconsin-esque running backs

I'd love to have him but there isnt a spot for him. There is no one already committed whose spot I would give to Taylor and with the spots still available we have bigger needs than RB.

Id rather bain, beckwith, willis. Maybe he still gets in if we dont get some guys and others dont make grades. Dont know if the bridge has been burnt already or not. Would the kid even commit to LSU now? People have gone onto say we are pissing off people in katy and it will be hard to get recruits from there now. Seems like a lot if butt hurt going around for a texas kid.

LSU simply can't take the most talented 25 guys they can find. We have to address needs and RB is not a need right now.

We may lose 6 dlinemen. That's where we need to reload. Always need oline, every year oline has multiple injuries. Les wanted to get the qbs in here, then we git a slew if athletes that could play wr or db. Wr play was below average and we lack depth in the db especially uf simon and reid leave.
Leaving rb and lb as the positions we dont need. Cant pass up on jones and beckwith. So rb gets left out.

And if Hill has a good year next year, our RB cupboard could be completely bare for the 2014 season besides who we get in that 2014 class

There's a post eerily similar to this on Geaux247
IMO you should sign at least 1 RB and 1 QB in every class, but don't over react to one game. Sounds like the coaches had concerns over his knee. They will need to bring in 2-3, probably 3 in 2014.

Hill would still have 2014 (junior year) - Hilliard unlikely to go pro before his senior year (2014) unless he has a phenomenal 2013 - Hardly a bare cupboard in 2014

Nope, but there is a certainty that there are other RB recruits in 2014. With the depth chart at LSU, I'd think someone would jump at the offer.

Hill can leave after 2013. It's years removed from high school, not 3 years of college.

He didn't score 42 TDs in one game. The kid has produced his entire career and wanted to come to LSU. At least he's going to Nebraska so LSU shouldn't have to play him.
