my dad hated it. said it should have been called "a movie about the 13th ammendment"
said it was very political
Lincoln has such a badass story i hope someday someone does a movie about his last few years of his life and his death and even the hunt for Booth

As a movie i'd give it a B- to a C+
For what one would think a movie about Lincoln would be about, I give it a D-
I wasn't going in expecting any action, but even so, the movie barely held my attention and I love history. It was basically a survey of 1860's politics with a Lincoln subtext

Well made movie, but I was disappointed. The previews and title made it seem like it was going to be a deeper portrayal of Lincolns life...not a debate about the 13th amendment. I guess that was my fault though.
If you go in knowing exactly what it is about, then you will appreciate the acting and how well made it is.
