Miami Vice should have won - it was The Wire/Sopranos/Breaking Bad/Mad Men - whatever of the 80's - meaning...so far ahead of everything else that had come on TV before it and after it in the 80's.

The public didn't initially get it - b/c it was so far ahead of its time.
This forum is full of threads about "favorite" "best" TV shows that people love which were cancelled and/or flopped. Hell, some people on here hate Mad Men and The Wire.
