We can’t accept events like this as routine.

Are we really prepared to say that we’re powerless in the face of such carnage, that the politics are too hard?

Are we prepared to say that such violence visited on our children year after year after year is somehow the price of our freedom?

Asperger's is a form of high functioning autism. They do not have a lack of emotion, but difficulty expressing emotion. Not the same thing. In fact, they are incredibly empathetic and overly emotional frequently. And they are not prone to violence. At all. In fact, they are 4x more likely to be the victim of a violent crime than the average person because they are naive and easily manipulated. Please don't perpetuate totally false stereotypes.

ETA: The "violent" outbursts people reference are generally in the form of self-harm due to frustration at not being able to express themselves or communicate clearly. A child with severe autism may lash out to those around him for this reason as well, but Asperger's kids typically don't.Violence is NOT a characteristic of Asperger's.
