Robert Menendez employed as an unpaid intern in his Senate office an illegal immigrant who was a registered sex offender, now under arrest by immigration authorities, The Associated Press has learned. The Homeland Security Department instructed federal agents not to arrest him until after Election Day, a U.S. official involved in the case told the AP.
A Homeland Security spokesman, Peter Boogaard, said Wednesday that it was “categorically false” that the department delayed the arrest of Luis Abrahan Sanchez Zavaleta, 18, until after the election.

Well, Democrats don't preach against hiring illegal alien sex offenders and covering it up until after an election, so there's no story here.

I haven't watched the news today. Have the networks taken a breath to stop hyperventilating over this scandal?
I bet Joe Scarborough relentlessly scorned the left this morning with his conservative-titled show, while the leftist punditry are exasperated and scrambling to downplay this huge embarrassment to the entire party.

Yeah, I was disturbed by this too, but then I read more into it. Turns out the guy was an unpaid intern, basically a volunteer, who was supposed to be accepted and vetted by his university. Yes this is bad, but not as bad as the Republicans think, but also can't be swept under the rug like Democrats would like to.
