Go ahead apologists and blast away, but this guy just needs to shut the frick up. He's costing HIS team any good will that might come from the NFL league offices.
It's over, move on, try to focus on throwing the ball to your own team instead of insuring that the Commish will continue to find ways to make Your team pay in the future.
It's called cutting off your nose to spite your face.
But then Drew is all about TEAM right?

I'm sorry, but what does Drew personally gain from this? He's been vocal for a while that he thought Goodell got this one wrong. Is he just suppose shut up now?
ETA: In other words, he's been vocal for a while, and the suspensions were still over turned, and reinstatement talks are still happening with CSP, so you're bitching about a lot of nothing, but that's classic RapeBucket.

Brees is a very fiery passionate player and I appreciate he's not going to act like some timid bitch when it comes to Goodell.
You are probably one of the puss balls who said Vilma should shut his mouth too.. Look how wrong that was. No. You believe in something strong enough, you fight the fricking power dude. Don't take his shite. Who knows what could come from it in the long run. Maybe Gooddell isn't reinstated when his time is up and maybe as much negative influence added on by someone of Brees'caliber may help.
I'm sick of fans continuing to bitch about one thing or another with Brees. That's fine to acknowledge his play has been poor lately.. but let the money and his leadership role go. Get over it. He is who is. Let him be himself. He's had high interception seasons before and bounced back.
Just go find a new fricking team with a pussy QB to root for if you can't accept the man.

You also need to understand that Brees is on the executive committee of the Player Association.. and pretty much the top spokesman when it comes to active players in the league..

That is so fricking dumb. Goodell wants so little to do with New Orleans right now, he probably is considering skipping the Super Bowl. The league isn't out of the woods on this, it may end up the Saints org will file suit against the league. There can be no disputing the damages have occured because of Goodell's blatant lying and covering up facts.
I'm going to lean with Brees and the organization on this one, chap.....it should occur to you how fricking small of an amount of knowledge you have on the NFL and this situation than they do!
And what Drew says is a DIRECT indication of how the TEAM feels. THat's what player reps do jackass!

Idiots are gonna idiot. You can lead a horse to water but you cannot make it drink. The idiots that make these stupid post lack the ability to see the overall picture of not only Drew's position in the Saints lockeroom but also with the players association. Brees is a stand guy who represents not only his teammates in his own lockeroom but every lockeroom lead wide with his stance. With power comes more responsibility & it's Drew's responsibility to address issues when he feels his fellow brethren have been victims of wrongdoing. All these haters who say Drew should shut up have no backbone whatsoever. I would bet money on it that if they are wronged in real life, they would bend over, take it up the arse & kindly ask for more. They have no clue about actually having nuts & standing up for what's right.
