Considering were 99% out of playoff contention, I don't see why it would be a problem to have him back right after the last regular season game?

Yep. He can still help even if we're out the playoffs. We can start planning for the draft and whatnot. Plus he can start working on his contract negotiations.

Let's not get hasty. If we aren't going to make it to the playoffs, then it just makes sense to let the coach back in a few weeks early. Not a big deal from either side.
