re: How does the Poli board feel about military disability?

These days serving in the military seems to be a meal ticket for life. Wish they would have had that plan back when I was in the military. Just because you serve in the military shouldn't mean you get a free pass for the rest of your life. Unless you got a arm blown off or something like that you shouldn't be able to ride the system. Dude I work with is using the apnea angle also. No better than SSD or workmans comp collectors IMO.

Not to be mean or disrespectful, but this isn't about you. This isn't about your beliefs. This isn't about your insecurity.

This is about someone who chose to do something you've chosen not to do. That's it.

Now we can speculate as to why he did chose to serve, and you didn't. But . . . and trust me on this . . . HOCKEY HAD NOT ONE frickING THING TO DO WITH IT.

That guy is talking about apnea for certain...and it has a cumulative effect from not getting sleep and screwing up heart rate. It grants 50% disability, and there is little chance of "faking" the test. They are supposed to wear a mask at night, and that is generally the only treatment...he can live a very normal life for a while, but if he doesn't wear the mask, it will kill him eventually.

The sleep study is nearly impossible to fake.

but it is up to the professionals to make that call, not some liberal hack

Whats funny is some people have called me ultra conservative, now you're calling me a liberal hack. (Which is funny, because about 15 minutes ago I made a post about Pelosi and Reid and how insane it is that these idiots are in positions of leadership).

Doctors can be push overs too.. the more people they label as disabled or needing prescriptions is more money for the hand that feeds them.

I see this widely abused as well. People trying and sometimes getting disability through the VA on shite that is in no way service related.

No, but my path in life did. I came up well educated, and devoted my youth to a sport. I was awarded a college scholarship for my efforts, so I took it. Most people that join the military are escaping a small town, do it to pay for college, or make some kind of advancement in their life. I had that answered for me with my college scholarship. What I did is not a crime, and has no relevance to my opinion on this matter. It also has no relevance in the quality of man or American that I am.

Sorry I didn't become Mr. Howdy Doody. And speaking of things that have nothing to do with 'it'.. serving or not serving has NOTHING to do with recognizing that some people are taking advantage of military disability at the expense of others who truly need it.

holy shite you are an idiot.

quote:

All 4 lines play regularly in most games

only in the juniors and on the teams that give participation awards. You obviously never made it past that.. I doubt you could keep a lead in check in yer dreams.

And with that opinion of the Sedin twins you are truly showing what a wanna be little frick stick you really are. They have done more for NHL Hockey, Vancouver and the "real" players in the Juniors than you have ever done or could ever possibly hope to do in your pathetic little life.

So please, do continue posting so we can continue laughing at you.

here is your participation award.

Man, hate to break it to you but when it is 5 on 5 all teams roll 3 lines, and many roll 4 lines. It's how the sport is played.

You're a clown.

Everyone in hockey calls the Sedins pussies... because they are.

And Juniors (not the juniors) is actually a huge deal.. it's a high level not just a term referring to amateurism. The World Juniors will be coming on in a few weeks, its a major event in hockey.

Do you know what the symptoms of narcissism are?

At the core of extreme narcissism is egotistical preoccupation with self, personal preferences, aspirations, needs, success, and how he/she is perceived by others.

True. I know some getting GI bill, full disability ,foodstamps, etc when nothing prevents them working except the doctor's "diagnosis". Its no different from SSI payments, doctors have to approve those too.

and that disqualifies you from serving your country how?

serving or not serving has NOTHING to do with recognizing that some people are taking advantage of military disability
But having not the slightest clue, either through education, training, or experience, as to WTF qualifies as PTSD or disability has EVERYTHING to do with recognizing whether some people are taking advantage of military disability.
