I just can't seem to force myself to play it. The beginning is dreadfully slow and I just don't like any of the characters I interact with. In fact I don't even like playing Desmond.
I know "Cool Story Bro", but I am wondering if it gets better because as of now I am having serious buyers remorse.

I just started playing it myself but have played all the others so for me it's enjoyable bringing the storyline together. Have you played any of the others?

Sucks for you I guess. Ace Combat 3 was a pretty sweet game for the psx.

Why did you buy it then? If you don't like Desmond now, I'm pretty sure you didn't in any of the other games.

Could be part of the reason. All of the games are tied to a storyline for the most part. You could have done without 1 and been ok. It gets repetative without a doubt and by not knowing what is going on does hinder the "want to" to play.
Playing this game only, you have missed 3 other stories/generations of a family tied to a lineage of Assassins. No big spoilers but it could help explain why you aren't into it as much

I sadly, felt the same way, and used it for credit, towards BO2. Played it for a few days and was done.
really cool story line to the game, just wasn't my deal.

Same thing I did. The game was boring as shite. You can have a cool story to a game, but if walking around a pressing the B button is the extent of the gameplay... no thanks.
