I find it telling that you are more interested in the political ramifications vs. the actual problems being discuss and potential solutions.
But, when your president, who just won re-election is out there still campaigning instead of leading a compromise on a deficit deal, I guess it's only to be expected.

People forget that a long time ago a group of Men met and compromised, with the best interest of all of us at heart. They wrote their compromises down and called them the Constitution. At this stage in our nations life we shouldn't be compromising and rethinking the constitution, we should be adhering. Of course there are the rare exceptions, but by and large, no one with an opinion these days are half as intelligent or as noble as the men who established this great country, so why are they second guessing them?
