When I've seen Gilmore in-person at games, the production hasn't necessarily matched what you would hope out of someone who physically looks the prototype for a defensive tackle. He's all of 6-3+, 290 and looks well put together.

So far today, though, he has been outstanding and certainly surpassed my expectations and the expectations of a few other observers who shared my sentiment. Gilmore has the flexibility and agility to move.

But he's shown a component of functional strength in 1v1s and tossed a few leaning OL aside, too. I spoke to two N.C. offensive linemen after the morning workout, and Gilmore is the first one they pointed out as being impressive.

Lewis Neal, DE, Wilson (N.C.) Hunt: An LSU commit, Neal is probably the smallest defensive end on hand, and while his frame isn't an eye-catcher his skill-level is. Neal's lightning-quick first step is one of his greatest assets. His ability to play at 100 percent to the whistle is another. Neal was effective Tuesday morning getting skinny in space on the interior to sneak into the backfield.
