Have we become a "theft" society?

You should pay for what I want and I don't care about the provider as long as I get it. I will support whoever continues to provide the ability to get what I want.

Well, anyone who supports the state inevitably supports theft.

It's not theft if The State does it.
It's Social Justice.

I assume that means you disagree?

What do you call it to make it more palatable for your psyche?

That basic statement was made long before Franklin was born. I think it's from Plutarch, but I'm probably wrong.

Yes, but in the Obama Age it's referred to as redistribution of wealth.

Maybe. I think we are seeing what happens when generosity of givers becomes expectation of the beneficiary.

Just trying to make the American dream accessible for all and to make America's riches available for all Americans not just the 1%

Valid question. I say look at the intent of the founders of this country and the Constitution. They believed in a limited government. This government would cover essentials like military expenditure roads, bridges. When you start taking money away from people to give to others, that's when it becomes theft. Everyone can use a road, not everyone can use a welfare check.
