You should pay for what I want and I don't care about the provider as long as I get it. I will support whoever continues to provide the ability to get what I want.

Maybe. I think we are seeing what happens when generosity of givers becomes expectation of the beneficiary.

Valid question. I say look at the intent of the founders of this country and the Constitution. They believed in a limited government. This government would cover essentials like military expenditure roads, bridges. When you start taking money away from people to give to others, that's when it becomes theft. Everyone can use a road, not everyone can use a welfare check.
