I've got a system down. I never carry more than 2-3 days worth of clothes. I always wash clothes while there. I can get most of my gear in a backpack or a small luggage bag depending on the type of shoes I need.
I went to Stein Mart and purchased a nice three piece luggage set. One carry one size, one medium (normal) size & a large. I worked a job where I needed two changes of clothes per day, So I always traveled with the big boy. If your able to take clothes you can re ware, that is money. I always check my bag if it is free unless I have a tight connection in large hub. I miss traveling for work. Getting to see the country on a company's time is cash money. The movie Up In The Air was my life for a while.

I would never be able to find anything if I had six suitcases.

This is true. For the recent college grad, L.L.Beans has some good stuff too.

I want a Jeeves. There used to be this guy named Christos who would carry my bags upstairs for me, but I never asked him to sort through my clothes for me. That would be weird.

I have a carry-on roller and carry-on weekend bag. Efficiently packed I can get a weeks worth of clothes between them and nothing comes out wrinkled. They are victorinox. It's all I will ever bring on a trip. Every city you go to has these businesses called dry cleaners. For a nominal fee they will clean and press your clothes, usually over night. Why anyone would pay $50 round trip to check a bag is beyond me. Not to mention the hassle of actually checking and retrieving your luggage

Ohhhh that's where I'm going too. I think I'm flying Southwest though. My mom always books with them, and I hate them.

Awww unfortunately I'm just going home. I do not live in Aspen or Vail. I'm looking forward to spending Christmas with my family though.

Premier status son, don't pay for checked bags. I wouldn't want to drag my luggage around a airport anyways

Thread hijack time: Any tips for traveling with suits? Starting new work assignment in January that requires 50% travel, much of it requiring Business Dress. I have a hard enough time keeping my suits in good order when I can go home every day. How do you guys keep your suits presentable when flying? Is there a specific piece of luggage I should buy?
