Sounds good. I had so much fun running in a straight line for 40 hrs last go round. Why do they have to make it an online game?

Really? Don't realize how one can honestly comment this way about an MMO with an entirely new development team. Ignorance. I'm sure you didn't realize that XIV released ~2 years ago, underwent redevelopment and is relaunching as A Realm Reborn. (Side Note: Someone who likes FFX complaining about linearity )

X wasn't completely linear. Lots to explore. Between being duped by SE on XIII and the online thing, I'm done with FF

I was done with FF after 9. 10 was pretty good, but 12 and so on are steaming piles of shite.

I enjoyed it before the reboot. Had 4 classes maxed out and was close to a 5th, but this game takes up so much time. All the crap they required you to do for the relic weapons was insane, and I wasn't touching it. Crafting and gathering was jacked up as far as how it leveled. Probably took you 3 or 4 times as long to level one of those as opposed to a battle class. Maybe that's the norm for MMO's, but screw that noise.

I wish I could get sucked into an mmo again but no mmo has hooked me like eq and WoW did in the past. That cinematic trailer though was absolutely incredible and I wish they would do a final fantasy story over that sort of world for their single player rpg instead of the crap they have been throwing out.

My experience with FF11 was that SE should stick to single player games..

Thoroughly enjoyed FF11, but 14 sucked major ass. Hopefully they changed everything, because that's what it's going to take.

I lost all interest after FFX. I loved that one but hated FFX-2. I just could not get into all the costume or dresshperes or what ever they were called. I haven't played any since, I guess I am just getting old.

I really didn't mind ff12 but ever since square enix has taken over ff it has gone in the shitter. When it was squaresoft that was when the best rpgs came out.

Yes it was and I do not think that is a bad thing. I've seen dozens of games that are free-roam and open world to have incredibly bad and disjointed stories without any well-developed characters.

No there wasn't. Both had a set path that opened up towards the end. Both had end game activities to extend the life of the game well beyond 100 hours. XIII didn't have anything near as fun as Blitzball, but I don't see an argument past that.

How did they dupe you? There was a ton of media on both and you could well beforehand what the game was going to be like. This goes for both games.

Normally I'm fine with a good linear game, but FFX was just so linear and so long at the same time that it just dragged and dragged. On top of that, every time you walked 5 feet there was another cut scene with terrible voice acting.

Fox I have your back, I love FFX. FFX and FFVII are my favorites that I've played. To be fair I have only played FF7, 8, 9, 10, and 13.

My brother and I actually just started back on FF11. They changed a ton of stuff to make leveling much much easier. You can from 1-60 in two days.

I loved FFX as well. Between the celestial weapons, the monster arena, and blitzball I put in easily over 130 hours. I thought FF13 was total garbage.
