Man that is great!
Watched my mother smoke my entire childhood. I bet I smelled like an old ashtray but couldn't tell. Never touched a cig, thanks mom.

But now she is going to know you are a quitter and a hypocrite when you give her the speech that she should do whatever she wants no matter what anyone else says or thinks and to never cave because of pressure from others.

My motivation was that 3 months ago, I came home to my wife holding a positive pregnancy test. Our little girl is due in may. I did not want my child to grow up with a bad influence. The rest was will power, discipline, and flavored toothpicks.

I'm right there with you. 93 days. I was a half pack a day smoker for 10 years. So glad to not have them in my life anymore.

It's not bad once you make your mind up that you want to quit. The first couple weeks suck, but after that it becomes much easier.
A lot of people swear by Alan Carr's Easy Way to Stop Smoking book (found in PDF form all across the internet). I read it and it didn't really do anything for me, but has worked for a lot of other people.
