This thread has peaked my interest. There are several clubs here around North Alabama. I see them out just about everytime were out fishing or in the ski boat. I'm getting a little older and like the thoughts of slowing down a little.

You know at some point someone will be scaling that up and using some of that tech to make cargo vessels use a whole lot less fuel. They're already using kites on tankers for that reason.

as long as you can get the bitch to plane, hull speed limit goes away. It would be badass in the future if they could come up with some design that could come to a plane in a displacement hull.
