treble hook

Another company brought a pastry tray to our office this morning. You know muffins, danishes, etc.
It's 10:43 and no one in our office has touched said tray. I'm wondering should I just go take one? But what if it belongs to someone in our office?
What would the OT do?

I would take a napkin up there and snake 2-3 of them. It is just sitting out? Fair game.

Possible. But the top of the container is taped to the bottom.

Can the tape be fastened back to its original placement if you take it off without anyone noticing? Bigger question.

Not likely. The tape will have to be ripped in order to remove the top of the box.

I was caught off guard and got choked up on my drink. I caused a scene in the office with everyone asking me if I was okay culminating with someone finally saying, Jesus, man are you alright!?!.

No cameras. I may be able to locate some identical tape and re-fasten after obtaining one of those delicious looking danishes.
