RSJ is a head case. Texas backed off him for a reason. We don't need 5 star players who are full of themselves and don't fit a family/team type atmosphere like LSU. We have had some of those in the past and they caused a lot of problems (Perrilloux, Xavier Carter, etc.).
Don't get me wrong! I would have been excited for RSJ to commit, but it would not been without reservation.

We've got ground to make up for sure. But Trey does love A&M.
We had more ground to make up with RSJ. I wouldn't count out our offense with a Heisman QB when recruiting a WR

You're assuming too much.
Texas didnt want him to play basketball so RSJ started looking around. After he had decommited from Texas they "pulled his offer"

I think that love is being blown out of proportion. He's still got a sister at LSU, and will have a couple football teammates and about 4 or 5 baseball teammates at LSU as well.
That's a tough pull to overcome.

I don't follow recruiting as closely as most people on this board. I just lurk and listen to what y'all say. But let me just say that one of my least favorite things about recruiting is bashing a kid as soon as he takes another offer.
RSJ's tweets seemed genuine and classy towards LSU. No need to insult a high school kid because he wanted to go to a different school. He didn't lead us on, and was honest throughout the process. This isn't Janzen Jackson and his "broken fax machine".
I also dislike the "we didn't really want him" line. Save that crap for the Texas fans.
Stop with the sour grapes. He's a great prospect and of course we wanted him. Good luck to him at A&M, but now he's Tiger Bait.

Don't be so defensive 
I'll enjoy the head to head and hope to eventually land a couple La blue chips like we used to or like Bama is doing now

I'm not being defensive. I'm not at all worried about aTm recruiting in La. Just stating that making up ground on Trey will be tougher than what yall did with Jones.

Johnny is 6-0 away from home now. LSU is probably the only thing standing in his way of being undefeated in true road games going into his Jr year. Ole Miss, Arkansas, Mizzou are our other 3 road games next year. (The rest of the West and Vandy at home)

I'm not even going to pretend like the league office doesn't have a hard-on for A&M
They brought A&M to the SEC to make y'all money. It's in their best interest for us to be the best team in Tx. I don't expect Bama treatment. But we won't be treated like a stepchild like LSU always has been (I grew up an LSU fan)

***ftr, we won this year because of Sumlin, Johnny, Joeckel, Swope, Malena, & Moore. Not because of the league office
