He must have a work ethic. He has the physique of anti-JaMarcus.
He looked like the greatest player on earth against the Saints last year.
How can someone so fast and athletic for his position just completely disappear during games? And don't tell me it is the young QB. Young QBs love tight ends!
If Vernon Davis was dominant, it would be the Lebron James/ Shannon Sharpe explanation. "Of course he is good! He is just too big and fast to stop. Nobody with those God-given abilities could suck."
Well. I'll say it. Vernon Davis sucks, considering his abilities.
ETA: And no. He is not on my fantasy football team. This is not a thread to bitch about being screwed.

And the Saints have one of the worst defenses in the history of the NFL. He is average at best.
ETA: I am aware that the Saints D was not as bad last year but it hasn't been good in a long time. Bad is bad.

Looks at his targets per game. It's really gone down to only three or four a game now. Defenses completely take him out and Crabtree's production has increased. Also, with Capearnick playing now, harbaugh has dedicated around 15 plays to options a game now.

Quite a few defenses this year has focused on shutting him down and taking their chances with Crabtree and the other receiving options.
Vernon is a physical freak and a talented player, but it is hard to be successful with his limited number of targets.

The decoy excuse is fine. Andre Johnson and Calvin Johnson are both used as decoys on the majority of plays! But then they dominate!
