OT workout crew- anyone compete?

Do any of ya'll train to compete in events? I've been doing crossfit for 5 months and just did my first amateur competition. It really opened my eyes that I have alot to work on. I got smoked. There were some really strong competitors there and I thought I was better than I actually was. Finished like 21 out of 30. Just kind of looking to see everyone elses experience in whatever types of events they do.

I competed in powerlifting in high school and college. No interest in it anymore even though I still work out religiously

How long did it take you before you reached your highest level of success?

Power lifted in high school first 3 years. Didn't lift senior year because I wanted to get out at 11:15 instead of 3.

Out of curiosity what kind of weights did you get up to on your lifts? As well as body weight?

No competition for me but I do work out like someone who does. I do it to be able to eat what I want and make keeping up with the kids easier.

If I have one, I have to have several. I'm in.

Lifted in 123's freshman year, 132's sophomore year, 148's junior year. My last year I benched 260, squatted 385, deadlifted 405 in competition. Wasn't overtly strong, but wasn't weak either. Typically finished 3-5 in meets.

Well that's pretty strong work. I don't consider myself weak at 190 and my bench/squat/deadlift cumulative matches yours
