Believe they are looking at him as a full back, for the guy we lost to Florida. He could play that role perfectly. Not only is he 6'3 240, but he blocks very well, and catches very well. We could have a blocking and receiving threat from the FB position, or even move him to tight end from time to time in different formations.

i think he'll have a nice year next year, if he stays on the field

I agree... I think we under used him this yr...dude showed me something this past yr but we never consistently threw him the ball

Carter is too tall and lean to play FB, but he impressed me this week. Looked like shite last week

Stokes as a starter, sort of in Chase Clement's physical blocker role. Smith off the bench as the receiver, creating matchup problems because he could be split, he could be lined up as a TE and the defense won't know how to adjust.
Add Cethan Carter to that mix. If Smith and Carter are in the huddle, opponents won't know whether LSU is lining up in the traditional I with Carter at FB and Smith at TE, in two tights or in three wides (With Smith wide) with Carter at TE, or three wides and I-formation with Carter at FB.
I love those versatile TEs
