Some people in Clemsonland are now concerned that Morris may be headed to Texas Tech considering Texas is his old stomping ground.
what do you think about that?

Talk of this is certainly heating up around the high school coaching circles I'm in--look for some Austin Lake Travis folks to get an offer to go to Tech as well if Morris ends up there.

There are a lot better jobs if you have career ambitions. It's a gawdawful place to recruit to, it's a relatively tough conference, and a school that has unreasonable expectations. I honestly think someone like Chad Morris would be better off at a place committed to winning in a smaller conference, like maybe Cincinnati

USF would have probably been a great landing spot for Morris. A Big East job would be ideal

True with a BUT...
Texas is in a tailspin and Chad has a LOT of connections in Texas High schools. I think he could come in and give a bump in recruiting that Tubs never could as an alternative to Texas A&M.
The right coaching hire for Tech could put the hurt on Mack Brown in a bad way.

I'd rather Morris than Kliff.
I think it'd be a disaster move for Kliff and Tech at this point. He's the emotional hire but I think he's a bit young in his career (1st season as OC, previous were as co-OC). Let him have a few years and if he wants to be a HC, then call him.

Some speculation out in the wilds of west Texas that if Morris goes, he takes Venables with him.
Since the Dawgs of Georgia open against Clemson, I approve of Tech hiring both of Clemson's coordinators.

Here ya go. TT Scout board says TT plane to College Station, Clemson, and Nashville for interviews. Nashville interview is supposed to be with Jerry Gray, Titans DC.
