Yeah. FWIW my sources there say he was in town a couple days ago. They have talked to him and are mulling it over. Expect a decision on next Monday-Tuesday if a hot up and comer doesn't come on board.

I'm not surprised he got "left at the gate" during the 4 SEC coaching searches.
The ADs at all 4 schools realized that hiring Petrino would pretty much destroy any recruiting normalcy they hope to have...not to mention the man always leaves a program in shambles when his arse hits the door. This is not good.

I cann't see him fitting in at La. Tech. Ruston is a pretty close knit, small town with churches on every corner it seems. I know the folks up there and to call them "tight assed" is being politically correct.
