I have seen that I have been owed money in AZ but it won't tell you what it is for or how much and claiming it is a pain in the ass....plus you don't hear anything back for a few months, I haven't claimed it yet but I guess I should one of these days just in case.......

does anyone know the process for claiming property of deceased relatives? i'm sure my parents would like to know my grandparents have two things from cd interest for >100
eta wait wtf, it says its from 2011 and is interest on a CD - they died in 2007. does that mean they left a CD in a bank somewhere?

The institution only turns it over to the state once they've been unable to find them for a few years. It's probably an account that no one knew about so it wasn't processed during the probate process.

Thanks for the tip. I just went to the Tennessee unclaim property website and found a surplus insurance premium that I'm owed. Only $100, but I'll take it.
