The Tennessee Volunteer football program is no longer elite. 'Half-a-cheek' Neyland Stadium is what a storied SEC team used to call home. 49-7 was when Arkansas kicked you out of the Big 6 forever. Sorry Tennessee, but your program is no better than what leaves Smokey's arse.

They're definitely falling. But they still have a bunch of advantages.
Honestly all they have over Arkansas currently is tradition and playing in the currently easier division. Both are the big school in the state, have plenty of money, nice areas, but little in state talent.
I guess Tenn has the 3rd week of October to sell but they might not want to bring that up! Maybe Peyton still carries some cachet too with recruits
Both good jobs. There's 9 great jobs in the SEC. But they're all cut throat too.

The shite hole, Extra large ziploc bag full of dicks that is Arkansas is 4-13 all time against UT. While losing 3 out of the last 5, and have been irrelevant for half a century. I asked my good bud Squints how long he thought it would be until the tFagBacks and their Bobby Hill look alike coach could obtain just 1 SEC championship. He replied, " FUUUCK, those losers? " .
