That's funny... Wasn't it a Dem Governor that made Louisiana a right to work state?

What do you mean by "everyone can be a free rider?" As in, any employee who is satisfied with the benefits given to him by his employer and is not a member of a union is a "free rider." Please clarify!

I feel for anyone who labels all repubs this way. It is very sad that the Republican party has this image by unions and libs, because it is not the opinion or view of anyone I know that is a republican.

That's right. If we could just get rid of McCain, Graham and Boehner then the universe is ours.

No, I'm just saying that the union has to represent everyone working for a union contractor, and not one of those employees has to pay a dime to the union when this type of law passes. Before, the union could at least force the person to pay core dues.

LOL, why? They must have been very power hungry to get that law written. "We will represent EVERYONE! whether they want it or not."

I normally do not get enjoyment out of seeing others suffer/lose/struggle etc...

However, that is an exception.

The Michigan House on Thursday voted to approve a "right-to-work" bill that would weaken labor union powers after Democratic representatives left the chambers in protest at the decision earlier to lock the state Capitol doors.
WTF is the deal with Dem lawmakers running out when they don't get their way?

There is some argument that it will make unions more accountable to the membership because they will pay dues if they are satisfied with their service, but I don't buy it. I can't speak to the public union angle as I am not well-versed in that world.
Unions should end up like shareware... If you use them you really ought to pay for it, but 95% of the people don't.
