I really want to know how you get to "Fair" share on the rich. Was it fair that I went to school for 12 years after highschool to become a Dr. emassing enormous student loans and delaying employment....No. Now I have to pay my "Fair" share, and last I looked, nobody is paying my loans off. Please explain why I it isn't "fair" to pay the same amount of taxes as everyone else.
You'll never get a straight answer...they don't have one.
Pretty much agree with this, lower income need to pay a little, everyone needs skin in the game.
just to clarify, medicare, payroll taxes, sales tax, local taxes, gas taxes, etc aren't skin in the game?
quote:Actually a flat tax would meet the requirement that higher income earners pay more in taxes.
As a higher income earner you should pay more in taxes because that's how our progressive tax code works.
