What a pile of crap. Superman says no nukes. So he collects them as they're fired, puts them in a space net and does his best hammer throw into the sun, where they explode.
Lex creates a nuclear man to destroy Superman? Out of what?
And the worst part - the ladies. Margot Kidder and Mariel Hemingway.
Was there a contract that forced this film on us?

Lex's formula on how to build his own super man was flawed. He realized that super man got his powers from the sun so he goes about and steals superman's hair to get his dna then send's that dna concoction into the sun with the nuclear weapons to regrow his own supermans. The problem was that his super man was a pussy.

It is a travesty that this was the only movie Mark Pillow (Nuclearman) was ever in! He should have been able to write his own ticket to success with his performance! Hopefully, he makes a cameo in the Man of Steel to pay homage to his great character!
That movie was such a POS!

oh that movie was an incredible piece of shite.
I can't complain about Hemingway's character because this is a universe where Superman is attracted to a Lois Lane that looks like she belongs on a Faces of Meth poster.
When Superman takes Hemingway into space and she's fine, I laugh til my cheeks hurt.
I will never understand how movies like that actually get released.

I don't know about worst but it is bad. Jaws: The Revenge and Superman IV came out a week apart in July 1987. That's two of the worst sequels ever made in back to back weeks. But, yeah Superman III was just as bad.

Yep.
You don't have to be a Superman fanboy like me to consider these movies to be blasphemy to the Superman mythos.
But unfortunately for me I've seen a couple scenes of them on YouTube and that was enough.

Yeah, from a Superman fan standpoint, 3 was worse. Even as a 8 year old I knew Richard Pryor had no business being in Superman movie. The villains were horrible.
