It's amazing that the sponsors had the foresight to draft contracts that stipulated that their advertisements had to be placed as static ads within an HD Video screen, if and when LSU decided to install such a thing.
How does no other school seem to ever get so hoodwinked by Coke and McDonalds?

Bigger scoreboard = more room for Coke, Cox, Peoples Health, Verizon, McDonalds, etc.
Compare:(The photos are scaled differently, but the lateral dimensions of the Michigan scoreboard are about the same as the LSU South EZ scoreboard (if anything, the Michigan one is a bit wider)

went to A&M this year and their board is awesome. they built permanent advertising above the screen..

Ive heard that in 2014 the contract with the ads will be done and the current NEZ jumbotron will get expanded even bigger, with two SEZ jumbotrons in the south being larger by far than the current SEZ one

The LSU marketing department has been out of control for a good while now.
Everything they do is in your face marketing/sponsorship with little to no tact. Its like the bosses that read the next great management book and use all the buzzwords until the next idea comes along.

-larger NEZ screen? cool
-two larger SEZ screens? sweet
-expansion to near 100k? about time
