etc.
All this does nothing to solve the problem. Just go to congress and negotiate a solution if you really want a "compromise".
Anyone understand his motives?

His motives are to do nothing but make the debt ceiling infinity, pimp out a new stimulus to pay off the boogie man rich fat cats he hates in his campaign and blame someone else. Obama thinks because he cheated his way back in he has a mandate to destroy this country.

He doesn't like conflict or opposition, he is an organizer and wants people to listen to him not confront him. Nothing good (for him) comes from confrontation.

His actions are perfectly understandable to people with an understanding of the US electoral system. The president does not elect congress, the people do. AS congressmen on both sides seem to see their main goal as getting reelected, they don't have any particular reason to listen to the president. They do however have a reason to listen to their constituents who vote. Obama is making the case to the voters with the hope the voters will then put pressure on their representatives.

you don't know much about hitler. Remember hitler and jessie owens? he refused to shake his hand, and the whole olympics was about racial superiority of aryans.

A senator (can't recall if he was a democrat or republican, but probably a republican) mentioned that congress has so much more trouble passing bills is because they are no longer adhering to established processes using committees to negotiate amendments.
