Considering LSU is a socialist institution, everyone on here should have a positive image of socialism.
Too many idiots get caught up in "bad" buzz words.
Police-socialist instituion.
Fire/EMS-socialist.
Any company who gets tax subsidies (walmart)-socialism.

They key stat in there is the numbers on how Democrats view capitalism.
The engine that built the wealthiest most powerful nation in the history of the world. Pathetic.
Funny part is, they realize how successful captialism is. That's why they always use language that starts....."as rich as this nation is, we can afford to........"
They just seem obtuse to how it got that way. I think our nation just fell out of the sky affluent.

Boo! Socialism!
The Communists aren't invading. Few people are advocating the nationalization of the means of production. "Socialism" is a buzz word that has lost all meaning in the American context. It's a political philosophy, not AIDS. Plenty of high-functioning European governments are run by socialist parties. It isn't our model, but it isn't the boogey man. And capitalism isn't synonymous with "American" or "patriotism".

You are describing national socialism, where the people look the other way when it's own citizens are murdered by an elite force (drones in our case) because they are a different religion or culture

What is truly disturbing about this statistic is that apparently 47% of Democrats have a less than positive image of things like the GI Bill, the US Military, the interstate highway system, the national utility grid, public water systems, public sewer systems, libraries, public universities, public hospitals, national parks, state parks, youth athletic programs, their local landfill, street lighting, police departments, the coast guard, the fire department, the ems system, the internet. I knew that most GOP supporters hated these types of communistic ideas but I would have neven guessed that 47% of Democrats didn't understand that the basis of society and socialism are one and the same andif you have a negative view of socialism then you have a negative view of society.
