Store bought oysters?

I really like raw oysters but it is hard for me to go to a restaurant and get them with the family. So, I was wondering if anyone buys the carton of raw oyters at the store and eats them raw vs. using them to cook? Is there a particular brand that is better? Is there anything in particular I should look for? Thanks.

If they less than a couple days old they okay to eat raw. They should have a packed on date on the label.

I either do that or pick up a sack and shuck them myself, stick to Wilson's or Chez Francois shucks their own.

Fin, we are both in Lafayette. Where do you get yours if you can't drive to Chez Francois?

A sack or a quart of shucked?

Rouse's has Wilson's brand shucked, for a sack Chez is my go to place. Why couldn't you go there? It's on the thruway
