I doubt the guy made his feelings known about the jacket discreetly, things don't escalate to being removed from the store for simply saying I don't agree with you wearing that jacket.

I think you are entirely missing the point. The employee was not in the military. He was wearing the dress blue jacket as a fashion piece. No Marine would wear the dress blue jacket to work at Old Navy.

If you are talking to me, I didnt miss the point. Its just the uniform regs change. Without knowing the exact regulations and what uniform this kid was wearing its hard to tell if he was out of uniform or not. Especially, since there is no picture in the article.
Secondly, I wouldnt know if a Soldier's uniform was correct down to every detail. And I dont personally care to even try to understand all their ribbons for not tying and bs like that.
The point I was making was that Id be willing to bet that most Soldiers couldnt tell me how my dress blues are supposed to be setup. And I couldtn care less how their Army Greens are to be setup. Without a picture, this is just reaching for a story.

This employee is clearly not in the military. I don't understand why you are arguing about military regulations on uniforms changing. Also, USMC regulations for dress uniforms haven't changed in like 50 years. Regardless, this is an old story.

Because they have, and they are different for every branch. The USMC regs have changed for cammies in two years. For boots alone they changed like three times since I went through boot camp. It doesnt effect the majority of Marines, but it still effects a good bit.
