It works both ways. You rotate each NFC full division home and away every three years. The other two years you play the NFC same place finisher home and away. So if we finish in the same place as the Niners in '13 they will end up playing here 3 years in a row. That's why the Colts and Pats seemed to play each other perpetually every year. They finished in the same standings spot.
In essence 14 out of the 16 games are predetermined by rotation. The other two are determined by division standing with the home & away rotated.
We won't be playing the division winners in those two games. Very likely it will be the 2nd or 3rd place finishers.
NFC East at home game current standings- Giants 7-5 Redskins 6-6 boys 6-6 iggles out of it
NFC north road game standings- Packers 8-4 Bears 8-4 queens 6-6 Lions 4-8
if finishing the same spot it would be a repeat visit to Green Bay and Washington coming here again.
