| Baton Rouge apartments? More than likely moving for a new job... (Posted on 12/4/12 at 2:01 pm)
Will more than likely be moving to B.R. at the beginning of year sometime for a new job. The office will be off of Perkins, I think the office is past Perkins Rowe going what would possibly be south?... if I remember correctly. I have friends that live in Prarieville and on that side of B.R. already. The fiance doesn't want to move until after the wedding in May, so i'll need a place for myself for right now... Until we can find us a house. I'm not OT rich so I'm not paying 1k a month for an apartment. Any suggestions on what part of B.R. to be in with a job at that location? Or any particular complexes that are decent?

If i wanted an answer from an a-hole i would've specified that in the post.... I can afford 1k a month, but I'll be damned if i'm paying that for a place that i'm going to be in for 6months.

Don't know how that makes me an a-hole, you didn't give any details, but there are some strange peolple on TD. If I were young, single, just out of college,no kids, and needed temporary housing, it's something I would at least consider. Kind of like the BOQ.

i think there are a couple places off bluebonnet that might be in that range. I want to say Turnberry Estates or the one at the corner of bluebonnet and perkins.

Maybe b/c if you would have asked how old I was and not just start blurting out ignorant stuff, I would not have stated that. Frat House? can you not see how that comes off? anyways I'm not young I'm in my 30s, i don't want to live anywhere near LSU or "college apartments". Need a decent place for a few months to hold me over till the wedding happens and we buy a house.

Both of those places should fit what you are looking. Had friends that lived in both and they liked it. Not sure how much a 1 bd/rm is, was..I'm guessing you can get something for under 1,000

Wow, change your tampon and take a valium Gertrude. If you're offended by something as innocuous as that, your new co-workers are in for a real treat.

My favorite area for apartments is Jefferson/Bluebonnet. There are a ton of complexes between I-12 and Airline on Jefferson, and just as many between I-12 and Corporate. You will find something in your range there that isn't bad. I call em commonfolk apartments. Reasonably priced, decent apartments. There are some good places down by bluebonnet/perkins also

Any place decent is going to want at a minimum a six-month lease and most of them a full year. If it's only a few months, get a weekly rate at a hotel and don't hassle with leases.
