Some guy on there with the same name as me has revenues and dividends sitting out there from Georgia Gulf since 1988.
Some poor bastard is working an extra shift in retirement to make ends meet when he doesn't have to.

If you find that you are owed $25-100 and make an attempt to collect this, could they then use the information you submit in an attempt to collect any debt you may owe?
Ex: A water company owes you $50 deposit refund but you are also indebted for back taxes to State of LA for $300.
What would happen?

Call (888) 925-4127 number at the top. Hit (6) for more options. Then hit (0) and just ask them. takes 2 minutes.

Don't know about LA but in TX if you owe back child support they can garnish it for that purpose, but in reality if the amount is real small they won't bother.

I had two things on there. One for 25-50 and one for >25.
Seems like a pain in the arse to provide documentation for a house I lived at a few years ago though.

Understood. But you don't have to send the whole credit report, just the page(s) with your name and the old address.
I did it with my SO for an old rebate check (which was not only for an old address but under a former name). About a month later the check came, no problem.

I found $150 in my son's name for overpayment of Dr's bills in 2003. Lake after hours been holding out on my ass.

this is also a well known State-by-State tactic to get people who have evaded taxes, have warrants, etc. to update their address information so authorities, IRS, or bill collectors can locate them for unpaid debt.

As I mentioned, if it's on the credit report you should be OK.
I also had another SO story where they had a WRONG address (right street but screwed up a digit). We showed them the correct address and told them the address on the listing was wrong, about a month later the check came, no problem.
