Couple years ago I had $300 and change on there. I think part of it was from the security deposit for the water bill or something. The rest was extra income tax money.

Evidently I paid some property taxes twice several years ago. Not sure how sheriff's department couldn't find me because I got another similar check from them a few months ago.
It could be inheritance, apartment deposit refund, dividend check, pension checks etc You can search a name and it will tell who was trying to return the $.

I did this a while back. I had a little over $400 from 3 different places owed to me. One was an old canceled life insurance and one was a mail in rebate from something I bought.

It says $25-$50 in the amount.
How much trouble would one go through to claim?

I worked for UPS one time for a week and it sucked so bad I didn't even go pick up my paycheck, that's what I found

A good job for a college kid- for $50 you can get the entire list for the state of LA. You can charge up to 10% of the amount "found" for them. Seems like an easy way to let people know they have money and charge a fee from doing what the OT detectives do everyday.
I saw a while back someone had over $500,000 there.

They wanted me to provide info proving I lived at an address 10 years ago which is pretty much impossible
