This is so interesting. I'm reading it all now, but watched the videos and it's pretty wild. I know you're very libertarian/I'm not sure, but I agree with you on some points so I'll watch/read and get back to you.

This is very interesting. I can't imagine the gov't being too happy about this concept.

This test firing looks inherently unsafe.

Considering the first test showed the gun falling apart in the shooter's hand I'd have to agree.

Somebody should advise those guys to perhaps rig an apparatus to where the gun can be test fired without them having their faces and hands directly on the weapon. This is a really cool idea but I seriously would not want that gun near me when test firing, especially if doing so to expected failure.

Yeah, that is ballsy of them. You'd think they would be smart enough to rig something to do the shooting for them.

I think(assume) they've tested this under better conditions. BUT, this is how revolutions are formed in a society where weapons are prohibited, NOT where we have a RIGHT(under our Bill of Rights) to own guns to combat our tyrannical government. This (IMO) is why governments want to restrict the internet. WAYYY too much information.

Grew up in a Fox household, O'Reilly/Hannity was gospel. (Am staying in that house tonight, which is a big reason I'm still awake). Libertarian would be the easiest answer, but I don't think I'd identify myself as a true libertarian. I'm against parties, so I don't really know how I'd brand myself. I believe in most libertarian principles, but I don't like how most acting libertarians want to fit there policy into the framework of this existing system. I think both of these major parties are just puppets for larger interests, both growing government and contributing to the downfall of our country.

I don't think that's possible with things like rifling, etc., but the lower receiver is the part the Feds stamp. If that's done, then the Feds lose control of the industry and the people win.

I think that's the point. After about 3 weeks of testing DD went from a lower receiver lasting 6 rounds to 80 rounds.

This looks really interesting. Ive heard from multiple sources that printing technology like this will be mainstream pretty soon.

You can buy a reprap for about $500. So yea, it's definitely about to happen.
