Yell and run.

What should the kid have done differently?
1) Walked in his house 2) Not go after Zimmerman as he walked back to his truck 3) Not attacked Zimmerman If he does any one of those things, Trayvon would still be toking and joking with his crew.

There is absolutely no logical explanation for Trayvon not making it home other than that he turned back
And that is a pretty huge flaw. Hell, my 4 year old daughter could've covered that distance in the 3 minutes he had. She could've probably crawled it. The kid turned back. The problem everyone has is they still have the initial vision of Trayvon in their heads. That nice little media driven clean cut kid. Now, they can't bring themselves to recognize that he sort of had become a wanna be hoodlum. There might be some rational argument for him not making it home except we know from his girl friend that he told her about Zimmerman. So, can't cover 100meters in 3 minutes and he knows he's being followed. Hmmmmmmmm

Kept walking home. Just like GZ should have stayed in his truck. And according to the one side of the story that we have, Trayvon was the one who approached GZ, not the other way around.

Gone home, not turned around to take on the weirdo dude following him.

Now you can't be fricking serious. You were taught that if someone is following you and ahead lies your home only 100 meters away, you should stop heading home and instead turn back and confront said follower? Cmon.

Yea I remember right after this story broke a lot of people were acting like it was common knowledge that if you suspect that you are being followed, the proper action is to confront the suspected follower. If you suspect you are being followed, get your arse to a safe place as quickly as possible. Don't confront an unknown potential attacker. When the frick did that become the proper action? I've never been taught that, nor have I ever heard of that being taught until the Trayvon incident.

How awesome would it be to be face to face with these posters saying shite like this? I mean, these comments are exactly like the gut reaction comments you see all the time at the bottom of the news channel websites. Absolutely no rational thought whatsoever. Just pick sides and let's play the game.

I've tried to look at this incident as objectively and unemotionally as I can. Just like I didn't think GZ was automatically the guilty party, I also didn't think Trayvon was automatically the guilty party. GZ's story was fairly hard to believe at first, but the evidence that has come out since has backed up GZ's version of the events. If there is some piece of evidence that's been released that conflicts with his account I would like to see it.

What was suspicious besides his hoodie and the color of his skin?

That isn't what got him killed and you know it. Who realty gives a frick what or who said something to Trayvon. He should have gone home.

i've never met the kid, and the only way i've been able to study him is through is tweets, but based on his tweets, he was quite the little thuglet. i can only presume that this behavior didn't end on twitter. i could be wrong, but i doubt it

We don't know for 100% certain. The evidence points to Trayvon having turned back to confront GZ. He's on longer walking home at that point. The evidence from the 911 tape also points to GZ walking back to his truck to meet with the officers at the front of the complex before hanging up the phone. He's no longer "chasing" Trayvon at that point.

See. I had the benefit of being a bit late to the party on this story. I was out of the loop and didn't land on it till it had blown up for easily 5-7 days. As such, I found the GZ story easy to grasp. It's pretty simple really. Here's what happened in basic steps. 1)GZ starts to follow Trayvon and calls cops. Was probably unnecesary cause Trayvon was just walking home 2)Trayvon realizes he's being followed(tells his GF he's being followed) Trayvon doesn't like it. Maybe he's offended he's being considered a criminal. Who knows. But, he's pissed. 3)Not knowing GZ has a Gun, Trayvon turns back to confront GZ(this is the part idiot Trayvon supporters miss cause they say he wouldn't confront an armed person. That's stupid. He had know way of knowing GZ was armed unless you think GZ was waving his gun in the air 4)Trayvon confronts GZ angrily and GZ says something Trayvon doesn't like. GZ at this point probably still doesn't even have his gun out which would explain how they end up in close quarters fighting. 5)GZ tries to get his gun out to protect himself and as evidence has already come out, Trayvon tries to get the gun from him. GZ wins that struggle and shoots him. The end. What we have here really is just a case of a wanna be bad arse kid going to show the white dude he aint gonna let him frick with him. Maybe even called him racist for following.
