Make sure you bring a SEPARATE $10 money order

Josey is correct -- if you can, go to LSP HQ and get printed. We were told at an instructor meeting last year that about 40% of the "ink & roll" prints get rejected as being unreadable (or not sufficiently readable) when they are submitted for the background check. If you get your prints done at LSP, they cannot be rejected -- these are the best quality prints available. So even if they can't be read, they are accepted. If your prints get rejected, you'll be notified by mail to submit a new set. This tends to add time to the process. Plus, digitally scanned prints are submitted electronically. This speeds up the processing of your application/background check. Digital prints costs $10 at LSP HQ (That works out to about one dollar per finger for most of us ) No cash and no personal checks. If you live anywhere close to BR, it's worth having your prints done here ...... unless you're in no rush to get your permit.

Everything you say is correct, but you can also argue a gun makes a dumbass more brazen. Either way, the argument is over complicated. The 2nd Amendment guarantees our right to keep and bear arms. Any where, any time. The argument really is that simple. We will never get it right analyzing every situation and trying to determine whether a firearm would have made it end better or worse. And we don't have to.

Can't argue against that, man. The whole quote falls back to the judgment of the man behind the trigger. If the guy is irresponsible and doesn't know what the hell he's doing, it can spell disaster. Competence and safety are first priority.
