I've heard bits and pieces about the story. But the scary thing is that apparently they couldn't lock 6 million pounds in a secure storage area. One officer said "It was just laying out on the grass."

I haven't heard about any damage to homes. There was an explosion about a month ago from the location. There was an interview on local radio yesterday with some official who mental problems.
His talking points were: "It's not dangerous as it is. But moving it is a problem. We're gonna keep everyone informed."
He then repeated this message 20 times with the linkage "Let me again say..."
Apparently, local radio doesn't know how to edit audio tape when you're dealing with a moron.

The problem is OBVIOUSLY too much government interference in business.
If the government hadn't gone snooping around where they didn't belong - on private property, no less - they never would've found out about it, and there wouldn't even be a story.
